Semester System
Zion Christian University operates on six-month semester system.
The six-month semester begins the date course materials are shipped
to the student. Students then have six months to complete the courses
shipped to them. This allows our students flexibility and affords
them the opportunity to study at their own pace.
Students may finish the courses before the end of that six-month period. If students
complete the semester’s course work before the six months have expired,
they may register at any time for the next semester. If students cannot
complete the courses within the six-month semester, they may request
a semester extension of three months.
Course Load
The expected course load for full-time students in undergraduate
studies is 12 credit hours or more per semester. The normal course
load for part-time students in undergraduate studies is 11 credit hours
or less per semester. Therefore, the chart below reflects the estimated
time (not a guaranteed outcome) to complete the programs of study offered
at Zion Christian University.
